Public Transport

Public Transport is an effective mobility tool to address multiple societal challenges, regarding mobility, sustainability, and livability. SGA provides a broader definition to the subject and has been contributing for the betterment of the web of public mobility through collaboration with multiple organizations. Developing bus depot and bus terminal design guidelines, BRTS evaluation and design tool are a few instances of the SGA's Public transportation projects.

Non-motorized Transport

Non-Motorized Transport (NMT) is a fundamental concept in sustainable mobility that prioritizes planning for walking and cycling over automobiles. The SGA team consistently engages in projects to introduce innovative ideas in this field. Notable NMT projects undertaken by SGA include the development of planning and design guidelines for cycle infrastructure, the creation of a Cyclic Level of Service evaluation tool, and the preparation of the Bicycle Master Plan for Delhi.

Urban Planning

Urban planning is a multidisciplinary field that addresses issues arising from urbanization, such as pollution, traffic congestion, urban voids, and ecological impacts. The SGA team has successfully contributed to urban planning projects, conducting research and developing ideas to enhance urban environments. Examples of SGA's urban planning projects include mobility interventions and strategies for Varanasi, alternative mobility solutions and pedestrianization of existing urban neighborhoods in Delhi (Aapki Sadak).

Freight And Logistics

Freight and logistics mobility planning is essential for ensuring a smooth flow of goods throughout the supply chain. Unlike passenger mobility, there is limited data, awareness, or consensus on the issues related to freight and logistics mobility in India. SGA has provided a comprehensive definition of the subject and actively contributes to planning for current and future challenges in this area.

Electric Mobility

Electric mobility is considered essential for achieving sustainable transportation by preventing the emission of greenhouse gases. Public transportation and shared mobility are key components of sustainable mobility. The SGA team has successfully worked on various projects, conducting research, and developing ideas to enhance the operation of electric mobility.
