SGA has extensive experience in developing detailed planning/design development as well auditing guidelines and toolkits. SGA assisted in development of 'Bicycle Infrastructure Design Manual for Indian Subcontinent' (SUTP document); Development of Urban Road Codes, for IUT and MoUD; Development of Cycling infrastructure Design Guidelines (developed at TRIPP, IIT Delhi); Development of Bus Rapid Transit System Design Guidelines (developed at TRIPP, IIT Delhi); and UTTIPEC street design guidelines. In addition, SGA has developed the BRTS Evaluation and Design (BEAD) Tool for IUT and Cycling Infrastructure level of service evaluation (CyLOS) tool. The development of both these tools were funded by Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation.
SGA has extensive experience in conducting stakeholder (participatory) workshops required as an integral part of toolkit and guideline development process. SGA has conducted four city workshops for BEAD tool training and user feedback gathering. In addition, SGA has initiated four more city workshops (in association with CSMR) for gathering feedback and inputs on CyLOS tool. SGA has also conducted two workshops as a part of BEAD tool development process, where inputs and feedbacks were gathered from different experts and stakeholders at two key development stages. In addition SGA has been a part of conducting and organising stakeholder workshops as a part of the NMT guideline development process.
SGA has extensive experience in designing public spaces, pedestrian infrastructure and bus based public transport infrastructure projects. Such projects include Nehru Place Placemaking project which included bus terminal design for DTC (a Shakti Sustainable Energy Foundation funded project); BRTS planning, design and implementation (including both infrastructure and operations); Bus system service and operational planning (undertaken as study to develop bus based airport shuttle service); design and implementation of bus station designs (including bus station designs developed for Delhi during Common Wealth Games for DTC and those developed for BRTS corridors); and, design development of three bus Depots in Jharkhand (under JnNURM).
