District-Specific Road Safety Reports

The project involved developing district-specific road safety reports for Delhi to help reduce crash fatalities. Using 2020–2022 crash data, high-risk sites were identified and investigated through field surveys. Detailed analyses and site-specific infrastructure recommendations were prepared for three key locations per district. The reports were intended to guide District Road Safety Committees in implementing targeted, evidence-based interventions. The work was jointly carried out by IIT Delhi, Vital Strategies, and infrastructure partners, and coordinated by the Transport Department. SGArchitects had the opportunity to contribute to the project, which was led by the Transportation Research and Injury Prevention Centre (TRIP Centre), IIT Delhi, and supported by the Transport Department, GNCTD. The scope included data analysis, site investigations, design proposals, and capacity-building for future replication.
