Improving Bus Transport Operations and Infrastructure in Himachal Pradesh

Developing design templates for Band C category bus terminals in different parts of Himachal Pradesh, reviewing design of the A category bus terminal. Development of fleet upgradation plan and developing Bus fleet estimation tool and bus operation support for selected bus depot.

Understanding contextual bus terminal planning and design requirements and undertaking live bus terminal design exercises following the newly developed Bus terminal design and planning guidelines prepared for ASRTU. Integrating these findings to develop template design for the same. Development of the bus fleet estimation tool for fleet upgradation plan. Development of a selected depot design to enhance bus operation support along with a prototype economical bus shelter design for Himachal Pradesh. Apart from these presenting and discussing the same with STU – HRTC, as part of knowledge sharing and internal capacity building.
